“THE WICKED WILL NOT PROSPER”

“THE WICKED WILL NOT PROSPER”

Wicked has several synonyms such as unrighteous, ungodly, godless, impious, profane, blasphemous; immoral, profligate, corrupt, depraved, dissolute; heinous; infamous and villainous. It is also defined by (dictionary.com, 2011) as “morally bad, mischievous or roughish, causing harm or injury and troublesome, unpleasant, or offensive”.

It “appears” that the wicked are prospering in all that they say and do. They “appear” to be clever and are often individuals who come disguised in sheep clothing. They utter words such as, “I grew up in Church, my parents were and/or are Preachers, and so on; in essence, they have a religious spirit, but no real relationship with God. They lie on others to make themselves “appear” perfect, and they truly believe that their evil works will go unpunished. Their overall intent is to kill, steal and destroy anyone and everything in their destructive path because they have DNA of their “true father”. However, the word of God declares in (Galatians 6:7, KJV) “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”.

As a believer in God, you must understand that you cannot look at a spiritual situation with natural eye sight. The “appearance” of the situation will always seem contrary to what it actually is; therefore, you must allow your spiritual eyesight to be activated. To the author of Psalms 10 (who many believed was King David), it “appeared” that the wicked were succeeding in their evil schemes, and that God seemed so far away; however, the author continued to pray and found that God not only saw the deeds of the wicked, but that He took notes and would bring punishment. Likewise, those who believe God must know that He will deliver you from the hands and the plans of the wicked, and that whatever you are going through will soon pass.

In my own time of testing I have not always understood the importance of allowing God to bring justice to the wicked. I looked at spiritual situations with natural eyes; and as a result, my flesh responded. However, after getting to a place of quietness, a place where the gossip and rumors (rather true or false) were no longer significant, I prayed a simple and honest prayer, and God responded. Therefore, I say to you today, get to that quite place and ask the TRUE and LIVING GOD to allow you to ALWAYS see what He wants you to see, to ALWAYS hear what He wants you to hear, and to ALWAYS say what He wants you to say; and in doing so, your life will never be the same.

The wicked may “appear” to be prospering; however, looks can be very deceiving. True prosperity means walking changed, transformed, and empowered by the Holy Spirit so that nothing is missing or broken in your life.  Therefore, look with your spiritual eyes and allow God to show you that “the wicked will not prosper”.
